so that any GHS errors will be gone ( because we will have to start
all over again). Because some levels have changed, and people have
been upgrading there HS files ( changing the name to the newest level
file)the errors will always seep into the GHS system.
As long as everyone has been recording there levels, then when I
finish my "LaserTank Playback Imported program" you will be able to
use it to quickly fill in the your HS file and send it to me. The
only problem is that the playback files use a 30 charecter author
field, and the HS system uses a 4 charecter system. I will have to
truncate the names in the playacks. From now on it would be wise to
fill the author field with your initials ( or online name).
I should be able to reorganize the levels, then I will build a check
list using all of the playback files that I have. If any of the
scores on the GHS are not on the check list I will clear that High
Score.
Sorry for the inconvenience but I think this is the only way to go.
In the past I had personally tested every level, so the Main level
file never had any bad levels in it. But this time I had so many
levels that I had to put them untested into the temp file.
I might be able to keep the order and just check the incomming new
High scores better ( all I do now is import the HS files that are
sent to me into the main GHS file). I guess After I import levels I
can run some sort of cross check program that verifies the playbacks.
What do you all think ????
