Sokoban-I #1737 "Isee for Icees"
must be very special to you:
Oct. 3: "One more thing, does anyone
here think that Isee for Icees was
rated apropiatly?(sp?)",
Oct. 3: ". . . thanks for not
re-rating any of my other levels
that are Medium right now: Sokoban
Level-19??-Isee for Icees! :0 My
favorite! . . .",
Oct. 19: ". . .have you solved my
level 'Isee for Icees'? If you
have, did you think it was rated
appropiately?"}
The current GHS holder is Momo with
2509/473 and Medium rating.
You, as the author, invited us to
discuss this particular level.
Before I started to play the level,
I replaced all tank movers - except
one - with ground. The only tank
mover left was the one at H4. Many
players don't like these unnecessary
tank movers because they can't use
the mouse to make automatic move.
A tank mover toward unmovable object
is just like a ground object. A long
time ago, Al'Kair Dar did this, so
the solvers should replace those
objects with ground before playing
the levels. (Replacing solid blocks
with "unmovable/stuck movable-objects"
is acceptable because it doesn't
affect the mouse functions.)
To extract the blocks from the
crystal box is not easy. The pattern
is popular and used many times by
other authors. The first author who
used it was Ivosh. (See LT #400
"For Mr Kheper and Mikulka".)
However, in your level, the player
doesn't need those nine blocks,
because in your level there are 13
blocks surplus. The level can be
solved in 946/262 in one trial.
If you like, I made small touch to
your levels so - I hope - no surplus
block at the end. See the attachment,
Sokoban-I-1737-Touched.zip in two
formats (zip and text-converted.)
I solved it in 2005/743 in one trial.
If you submit it to Donald, please
don't put the unnecessary tank
movers back. The only tank mover in
the level is the one at H4.
(It's not a new level, but to replace
the previous level, if you decide to
submit it to Donald.)
About the rating, you better left
it to the GHS hunters. Expecting
too much will waste your energy.
Bye,
Suyono
