About the construction of the lvl files, I really don't know how it works,
but even with something like 5 layers, it would not even be over 50 kb i
don't think. Reason being, is because the ONLY factor inside the lvl file
that will be changed is in the following equation:
bytes in memory of ONLY the game board * the number of layers on the level +
total space of other items in the lvl file (such as title, author.. which
will not be repeated) = total space for just 1 level!

In your last reply to layers in lasertank, you said that you would have to
unzip the lvl files each time it was used... which is wrong... you would
only have to unzip it once. The reason i suggested zipping is to make
downloading the big level files easier!
Yeah, this is all up to Jim... but i hope he likes the idea of Layers, which
i don't believe would change the game genre of lasertank at all! it would
simply be a bigger, better... more complex puzzle game!
