Eternity is like a light bulb, the light is either on or off. In the
same way, when one dies, he/she goes either to heaven or to hell.
Only people who meet the correct standard may enter. What is this
standard? The decision is not like addition and subtraction, where
you gain a point for a good deed and lose a point for a bad one.
Instead, is it more of a ratio of good to all. God's standard is
100.00000...etc %. If we sin (do something "bad") even once, no
number of good deeds will allow us to attain EXACTLY 100%. This bad
thing can be something "minor" like, as a child, lying about watching
more TV than allowed to by the parents. It should be fairly obvious
that no one on Earth lives up to that standard. It is written in the
psalms, "There is no one righteous, not even one." We all, therefore,
are deserving of hell.
This would be bad news to everybody if God had not provided a
way out. He sent His Son to Earth, who became fully Man and fully God
at the same time. His name is Jesus Christ. Although tempted by the
Devil himself, He did no evil. Yet He was hated by the religious
authorites, and He was sentenced to be killed by the Roman method of
crucifixtion instead of punishing a rebellious criminal named
Barabbus. Some days afterword he was resurrected, conquering death.
I, bin Laden, and everybody else are that rebellious criminal! Jesus
died so that we might enter heaven.
To become a follower of Jesus is simple. There is no long list
of religious tasks. Nothing you have done can make you inellegible.
If you truly believe what I have been telling you, and wish to be
saved and to have a fulfilled life, the only requirement is... just
that. Merely accepting Christ, you can be changed. Simply talk to Him
in prayer and thank Him for what He had done, ask Him for His gift of
eternal life in heaven, and admit that you have faults and have acted
wrongly. If you pray this and mean it, you are saved! God bless you
all!
