You could use the Windows version to achieve that, it uses only ini files. I managed to get it running on Ubuntu linux yesterday, for the first time. Expect some pics soon.
I have to say, though, that I don't believe that LT does use the registry. Oh, perhaps the installer does. I haven't tried it. Just use it without the installer.
