great! everything's fine. interestingly, after you sent me your repaired file and explanation, i repaired my old LVL file by using the editor to choose a difficulty for each of the levels instead of a blank. i think that probably other lasertankers could do it this way if need be and get the same results.

BTW, i tried out the software utility "Restorator" available on the
utilities page. i changed one of the sounds (the loud "death" sound) in
LT and it was a piece of cake. it allows you to look inside executables
and manipulate, extract and insert resources like bitmaps and sounds as
if they were files. it even looks like you have opened up a folder and
not an executable. v cool piece of software. i would buy it if the need
comes up. i would, of course, caution against redistributing modified executables,
dll's and any others as this would probably violate copyright law.
