Do you have a different version of LT than me or am I doing something wrong? I ask, because when I do that…Move to H8…Shoot down…Die…UNDO…Shoot down. I still die…over and over again. No blocks ever turn to solid ground.

Subject: [LaserTank] A new trick
Hi All
I found another interesting "undocumented feature" of the game. Unfortunately it can't be used as a trick to solve a level with LPB as proof because it requires you to die before undoing the last shot. I have attached a level with hint that demonstrates the trick.
I think the hint is reasonably self explanatory but basically you have to position your tank so that when you shoot an AT to cause it to slide on ice (either type) it stops on a ground tile immediately next to you and shoots you. In my level that means standing on H8 and shooting down.
You will, of course, die. Select "Undo Last Move" and repeat the shot. The AT will now only slide to I11 and the thin ice does not break! This only works once each time. If you shoot the AT again it will slide up and kill you (see below for an interesting variation).
This phenomenon does not apply to you. If you drive your tank over I11, you "skip" it and it turns to water, just like normal. However, ALL objects that can be moved by shooting are affected in the same way and it works with ANY piece of ice - try the block or mirror.
It does not matter how much you move or shoot after the UNDO, before the object is shot over the ice. It also does not matter how much the object is moved before it moves onto ice - the AT at I5 is moved 3 times before it moves onto and stops on the thin ice.
You can repeat this trick ad infinitum as long as you fulfil the initial conditions each time. This allows you to creep the I12 AT up the thin ice one space at a time: Move to H8 and shoot down. UNDO and shoot down TWICE. UNDO, shoot down twice. UNDO and shoot ONCE. The AT should now be sitting quite happily on the thin ice at I9.
Wicked hey?
