I have released wxLaserTank 4.1.2 release 3. This release includes packaged versions for Linux. I have been able to correct almost all of the display anomalies but there are 1 or 2 glitches on Debian and OpenSUSE. See the development page for details.
Removing the remaining problems will probably require a change of approach to dialogue design. wx provides sizers that allow control groups to resize and reflow freely depending on character set and other variables and I suspect that I will need to use those and not stick with the rigid sizes I'm trying to force now.
I solved the header text alignment problems in the HS, GHS and Load Level dialogues by removing the single label that Jim used and implementing proper listbox headers. I think Jim's approach was just a sign of the times and list boxes have improved out of sight, since then. This avoids having to try and sort out varying space widths across platforms, which was never going to work.
I have started using InstallJammer to create the release packages as it runs on both platforms and will create all of the packages for me in one pass. The compiled help and translation pack have also been updated and they are all available from the SF site.
The web site and images have been updated with the usual stuff.
