Initially:
The tank will cross the K9 thin ice and
stop at K8.
The movable block will cross the same
thin ice and stop at L9.
We expect one of these possibilities
will happen:
1) the tank crosses the thin ice,
changes it into water, then the block
plunge into the new water to become a
bridge, or
2) the block crosses the thin ice,
changes it into water, then the tank
sinks into the new water.
NEITHER will happen. Both objects (the
tank and the block) pass the thin ice.
One of them changes the thin ice into
water.
Questions:
1) Which object does arrive at K9 first?
(The tank or the block?)
2) How many time units are the time
difference of their arrivals? (0+ or 1?)
3) Which object does break the K9 thin
ice? (The tank or the block?)
4) Which object does stop first? (The
tank at K8 or the block at L9?)
