I am a fan who liked the LaserTank game.
And about 1.5 years ago I had dabbled in mobile phone programming, and I
had made a port of the game to J2ME, which meant (theoretically) it
could run on all java-enabled phones.
I just found this file while I was searching for something in my computer.
This program had only been tested on Nokia N73, N78, 6300, and Sony
Ericsson S500/W580/W830.
And there are some bugs that did not show up on a N73 or 6300, but
showed on a N78.
Since I'm still in the university I did not have the time to correct all
the bugs.
However, I will polish and refine the program in the future -- when I
feel I have to and I have the time.
For this build, I think you may be interested in how I fitted the game
playground into a phone screen(panning and zooming). And I think this is
playable.
The file is self-contained, bundled with the default 2030 levels.
Currently there is no "load external lvl file" function.
Basic usage:
D-pad/2,4,6,8,5: move/fire/navigate through menu items
7: bring up game menu(this button may vary on different phones)
9: bring up panning mode.(this button may vary on different phones)
attachment is "lasertank-obf.jar", size: 453KB
