1) It's true that in the early period
of LaserTank, the rating assignment
was more lenient than in the current
period. (Look at LT #2, 3, 4, 5, etc.
LT#1 had "No Rating" at that time.)
However the LaserTank itself has been
evolving and becoming increasingly
complex. The introduction of Rotary
mirrors, Ice, Thin ice, and Tunnels
made the game more difficult to be
solved. Number of players has been
increasing steadily. More new tricks
were found. Etc. etc. Therefore, about
at the end of year 2002, the level
manager asked GHS hunters to
re-evaluate the old levels. The work
is still going on, I suppose.
2) "Autopilot" is one of the reasons
to give "Kids" rating to a level. The
author worked hard to make the path
from the starting point to the flag.
All details were considered. However,
the progress of the tank is
straightforward. The tank driver just
does all the short-term necessities
and eventually it reaches the flag.
3) The chance to modify your levels is
a blessing in disguise. It makes your
levels better. For example, your
"Hindsight = 20/20" can be modified
into a new level that I attached with
this message. (You need
Text-Converter.exe to decode it.) The
level is yours. You can submit it to
the level manager after you make the
playback file.
Have fun.
Bye,
Suyono
PS: Your other level "No Man is an
Island" has score 5/1.
