I'm glad you think my machine is probably not compromised. I used to
use the free security applications that have been mentioned, but I have
been told on various computer forums that LiveOneCare is very effective
for Vista, and it has other maintenance features as well as anti-virus,
firewall, etc. .I have been
reading and using info from the Gibson Reseach Center for quite some
time, it is very informative about security issues, and has some
interesting freeware. It is from here that I learned about Ad-Aware
etc. I have done the test at:

and my machine passes with flying colors, so I think it's not my
computer that was compromised as well, but I will take your advice and
change my password for this group.
