Long time ago, the authors gave
the ratings for their own levels.
It's the best opportunity to
re-evaluate the difficulty ratings
in LaserTank.lvl. However, some
precautions must be taken. It's
my suggestion.
1) The evaluators may only propose
the new ratings and the changes
don't immediately be applied on
the LaserTank.lvl. Most likely
different evaluators evaluate
different levels. Once a month
Donald announces all the proposed
rating changes, so other evaluators
can take their times to evaluate
the SAME levels. Some evaluators
might write their opinions in the
Yahoo group forum. Later, Donald
decides if the ratings in question
are necessarily changed. This
check-and-recheck procedure is
necessary to avoid subjective
changes. It's not fair if one
evaluator gives Medium rating to
a level that he/she can't solve
after so many years of trial.
2) The rule above is not applicable
to the evaluators who beat the GHS
of the LaserTank.lvl. The rating
changes are instantaneous as usual,
except if Donald - who has the
prerogative right - decides to keep
the old rating.
3) It's suggested to those who have
played so many LaserTank.lvl levels
to participate in the project.
Bye,
