"how would you be able to apply this to
lasertank?"
I was thinking about putting all
2000 levels on the spread sheet, so people could work the whole official lvl
file to get their score, but that is both time frustrating for me and the
player... because no one will complete over 2000 levels. Because of this, i have
an easier method of lowering the levels, but still making it possible for the
player to view his/her true score. Each level creator, will have his/her own
level packet with nothing but their levels in it. First, the author of this
packet will complete each of his/her levels in succession, without restarting or
undoing (unless you die, then you have to undo). When each level is complete,
the testee must insert his/her moves and shots for that level, along with the
undo's and restarts which will (in the end) result in point deductions. After
all levels have been completed, and a score is achieved and available on the
spreadsheet, the testee must send his/her test scores (just by attaching the
spreadsheet and emailing in to me) to me for examination, to make sure all
information is organized and not in the wrong place, and to make sure there was
no cheating. Cheating is another thing, because since no playback file could
record deaths, restarts, and undos.. and even if they could people would have
the ability to restart as much as they want, and record as much as they want
until they get a perfect score. And if giving people the spreadsheet to fill in
themselves for the highest score out of those whom have played that specific
level packet results in the risk of cheating, i don't think i want to risk
that... Donald, please tell me what you think about this, and how we could
prevent cheating, and at the same time get the required
information.

Hi
MrDoomMaster,
Really nice, but i
wonder, how you would be able to apply this to Lasertank ?
The only info inside the
GHS file, is the Moves and the Shots.

I post this attachment only to show people what I
am capable of on spreadsheets, and to give them an idea of how the lasertank
spreadsheet will work. Please to try this out, you must have excel 95 or
higher to see everything i think, still... try it anyway. The attachment is a
spreadsheet over doom. It is very complex, and gives detailed information over
a player's progress through the game Doom 1.1 for PSX, while at the same time
giving more detailed information over his/her skill information. Tell me what
you people think of it!
