In your calculation, did you take into account that 'rightward anti-tank' shoots twice in one cycle (420 moves)? (Tank goes down, then tank goes up.) Another thing is, 'upward anti-tank' at C15 can't shoot the block at row 16 when the downward anti-tank is still in column A (at A12, A13, or A14).
Anyway, I found the shortcut. The tank can reach the flag in 10,638 moves & 1,011 shots. (The GHS hunters can easily beat my score.) This level is a treasure. I think the shortcut can be fixed by replacing two mirrors and adding one mirror. (I'm not sure if the new level needs the same solution as intended by the author. Or, whether there's no solution in the new level. Or, whether there are other shortcuts.)
I'll send my playback and the possible fix to Donald. It's up to Donald and eag0628 whether the level should be fixed. Once again, the level is a treasure.
