The LaserTank
Update Levels and High Scores Utility automates (most
of) the work required to update your LaserTank Levels (.LVL), and
Global High Scores (.GHS) and (Local) High Scores (.HS) files.

this archive to your "LaserTank folder"; i.e., the
folder than contains this program, and your .LVL, .GHS and .HS files

Specifically,
this program:
(1)
Backs up all of the existing .LVL, .GHS and "Report" .HTML
files in your LaserTank folder that will be updated; i.e., replaced
by newer files. These files are backed up by appending "_Old" to
the right side of their root names (e,g., LaserTank.lvl is backed
up as LaserTank_Old.lvl).

Extracts the updated (newer), and new, .LVL, .GHS and "Report"
.HTML files in the downloaded Updates.zip archive to your LaserTank
folder.

Deletes the (local) High Scores (.HS file entries) of Modified
and Deleted levels in the updated .LVL files. (Except as noted in
the ReadMe.TXT file.)

Moves the (local) High Scores (.HS file entries) of Moved
