You wrote to Zapala, "... (apparently you

something?"
Zapala is not the group spokesman and he
spoke for himself.
I agree with you, Geo. There are more
than 10,000 solvable levels (proven with
lpb's) with official GHS, then why should
we pursue new GHS of the REJECTED levels.
Some of the levels were claimed as deadly
levels because the author couldn't solve
his own levels. To make an insolvable
level is easy. Put the tank at A16, the
flag at P1, and the rest of the board is
water. This level must be deadly.
BTW, your levels are nice lately. I have
small comment on "3 Story Condo". The
level has two reachable flags (At B6 and
at P1.) As you mentioned in the hint,
it's much easier to reach the B6 flag.
It means that the GHS hunters will submit
only ONE lpb, i.e. the EASIER one.
Therefore, your level will get the rating
based on the difficulty to reach the B6
flag.
One extreme example is Beginner-I #1772
(Kids right others down ~ hint). The
author wanted the players solve the long
way, but the GHS hunters (probably "not
kids") ignored it. They submitted the 1/0
solution. (The tank goes right.)
To avoid this, you have three options:
1) REMOVE the flag at B6, so the only one
solution is to reach the P1 flag.
2) If you like the B6 solution as well,
SPLIT the level into two levels. "3 Story
Condo #1" has B6 flag. (Remove the P1
flag.) And "3 Story Condo #2" has P1
flag. (Remove the B6 flag.)
3) MODIFY the level such that "In
reaching one flag, the tank should go to
the other flag's area." This two-in-one
level is harder than the two separate
levels combined. It's difficult to
describe the idea, so I give an example
here. a) Start with the original level.
b) Remove the P1 flag (becomes ground.)
c) Replace N3 solid block with movable
block. d) Add waters at A4, B4, C4, C6,
and F6. e) Add rightward tank movers at
C5, D5, D6. f) Add ice at E4, E6. g) Add
thin ice at E5. My solution has about 200
moves.
Herewith is the modified level. (In both
ways: "Zip file attachment" and
"Text-Converted file".)
