At one time, "Down the drain" was rated Deadly, and I agreed with that. I was not able to solve it when I first looked at it. I tried a number of times, gave up, went on to others, and came back to it days later. There were 2 things that made it difficult for me. Like most difficult Sokoban levels, one has to get to a pattern where the player can get anywhere. There are actually 2 such patterns for this level. But 1 of those patterns cannot actually be reached. So if that is the first pattern one sees and tries to reach, like I did, then it becomes impossible. But if one sees the other pattern right away or soon, then it is easier. The other problem in my solving it is that I solved true Sokoban levels before I started LaserTank. Although there is probably an actual Sokoban level like the "Down the drain" level, I actually played a version in true Sokoban that was just slightly different, but a change that made it much easier. So I probably had that version in my mind when I tried solving this.
