thanks for info - i downloaded a hex editor and got the "artificial" lpb file written and it worked fine. i found the same limit 65,500 on the number of moves. 65,501 is too many. the lpb file for the new level "theoretical max" for special.lvl will be uploaded to the utility page. using "f8" it only takes about 10 seconds to play back 65,500 moves!

yes, i am using "trinary" (probably incorrectly) to mean "ternary".
i think "ternary" correctly refers to base 3. "trinary" seems to have a
broader meaning including some mystical new-age references regarding the
significance of the number three.
