"The Blockade 3". I didn't notice if
there was a swastika. A few days ago
(after reading Donald's, Sergio's,
Steve's, and Jean's messages), I looked
at the level again. The center could be
anything, including a swastika. Just
like a cloud in the sky: It could look
like a polar bear, an ermine, a whooping
crane, or a brassiere.
The level is part 3 of 5 in the series.
Obviously, the levels are not related
with swastika or whatsoever. (I don't
even see any icosagon in "The Blockade
3".) Therefore, it's unfair to the
author if we do something on the levels
based on our extremely subjective
interpretation. Mathematically speaking,
swastika and mouse have the same
topology. (Did you notice that a coffee
mug and a doughnut have the same
topology?)
Right angle is natural in LaserTank.
It's easy to create square, rectangle,
cross, E- shape, L-shape, T-shape,
U-shape, and . . . swastika. (It's
difficult to make triangle, pentagon,
etc.) For example, in a 5x5 grid, we can
easily make a swastika. I believe that
there are not many swastikas in the
level files because many authors - being
sensitive to others - avoid such form.
However, there are many windmills,
waterwheels, twisters, crooked crosses,
etc. In addition, is it a coincidence
that many windmills (or whatever) have
their arms bent to the left? (Hitler
preferred right-facing swastika.)
Some levels with windmills. (I opened
Ch-I and Ch-II only):
Ch-I: 0549 "Black Hole 2", 0668 "Don´t
think about the form", 0678 "Water World
IV", 1681 "windmilly", 1683 "nothing to
do with A.H.", 1684 "READ the HINT!!!",
1748 "Dutch mill".
Ch-II: 0117 "Schindler's List", 0363
"Ice Cross", 0929 "Give Peace A Chance
2", 1119 "Battle on the beach", 1470
"Crossing the mine field".
About my level: Ch-II #1470 "Crossing
the mine field". The bricks at the
center form a tetraskelion (Greek, "four
legged"). It's not even a cross.
Tetraskelion has different direction
with Hitler's swastika. However, I plan
to MODIFY the level anyway. Some of the
bricks will be removed and some others
will be replaced with solid blocks. I'll
discuss this with Donald first, so the
current GHS holder will not lose his/her
GHS.
Have fun.
