who claims to be "Lasertank" <lasertank@p...> ".
it sounds like henry never got the virus as it was filtered by yahoo.
i get msgs by reading them at the yahoo website, and by daily digest
(which is text only, so no headers). if someone gets msgs by email,
msgs are re-routed relatively intact, and they should be able to look
at ALL header information by choosing (for netscape):
"View | Headers | ALL/Normal/Brief"
and then see the servers and IPs and such to see where msg was
routed. if someone will copy and post that information in FULL to the
group, then someone else may be able to determine the source and
solution.
in the future, in order to troubleshoot such problems, i encourage
people to provide this type of FULL detailed information when they
ask for help. without further info, i am guessing that this is
probably just another rather random virus attack that cannot be
traced to an original source, but with more info, it might possibly
be traced to the last unfortunate victim from whom this particular
attack originated and maybe prevent the "in" route at the LT group.
maybe jim's company has a virus for example. people can lie about
their ID in an email, but i don't think that servers and IPs are as
easily faked.
