If you ever decide to separate levels into different banks, wouldnt
the LPB files still be working? I think it looks for the level number,
and if this doesnt fit, it then looks for the level name?
Concerning the HGS file, it would require someone doing it by hand, or
maybe a little program could match the scores with the right level
name.
However, this would mean there wouldnt be a mixed-level file anymore,
as it would be impractical to maintain 2 levels systems (with some
levels in common) at the same time.
Well, if you do it, whether it be soon or next year or so, making a
level bank called Great.lvl (or anything meaning
levels-that-are-better-than-others) would be discriminating. A simple
way to avoid this is to separate the levels by difficulty status. I
suspect many players are using one difficulty category at a time, so
instead of choosing this difficulty as we do it now, they could load
the level file pertaining to it instead, which doesnt take much more
time to do.
Those are mere suggestions not meant to be taken very seriously,
everything is possible, what do others think about it?
