So all the levels were not rated. (White)Now we have 5 categories of difficulty (5 Colors)The level file contain a specific byte at a certain place for the rating :
00 = Not-Rated
01 = Kids
02 = Easy
04 = Medium
08 = Hard
10 = DeadlyBut, levels made with older version, have 88 into this byte, and the current Lasertank version has some problems to handle levels like that.Using an hexadecimal editor, I have changed the 88 for 00 and the problem is gone.ByeDonald----- Original Message -----From: Stephen RyanTo: LasertankSent: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 8:27 PMSubject: funky level, need helphello lasertankers,
i have a level that a friend made using the level editor in an older version of Ltank, but there's something wrong with it. i can solve the level (level 1), but then it jumps to the "you won!!" screen. i can't skip past it even though there are other levels (2 and 3). it doesn't always prompt for saving the lpb and suddenly the reset doesn't work. i tried extracting the level to another level file but it didn't fix it. what's wrong? how do i fix it? i even tried opening it with the old "Ltank.exe", but no luck. i'm stumped.
