Many months ago Tina complained the same problem regarding "[This message is not in displayable format]". I received individual e-mail directly, while she received packed daily digest. Individual e-mail is in html format with colors and fancy fonts, while daily digest is in text format.
Tina (in Netherlands) and I (in Indonesia) did some tests. If I sent the messages using Netscape 6.xx to Yahoo message board, she received my messages in her daily digest, but if I sent the messages using Netscape 4.72, she consistently got "[This message is not in displayable format]" messages instead of my messages in her daily digest. Apparently, Yahoo encountered 'too old' format when converting and packing my messages.
I'm still using Netscape 4.72 as my browser because it's much faster than the newer one that has a lot of features that I don't use. I suggested her to received individual e-mail directly. I don't know the mode she is using now.
Actually, I'm not afraid much of viruses (my ISP claimed that their servers have 'shield', also my computer scans incoming and outgoing e-mails using Norton AV), I'm more afraid of very big files.
I'm not sure whether our conclusion is right or not.
Bye,
Suyono
