Please find attached the UUencoded modified level, once again
together with a shorter edition as level 1. Anyone having time for
a quick look for eventual shortcuts and for errors
in the estimate would be of great help.
In my calculation, the number of steps needed is
(144+166*13)*145*22 = 7,343,380 moves
3*13*145*22 = 124,410 shots
You can extract the file either as described in msg #5279
or using Total Commander, downloadable from http://www.ghisler.com/
Here's the fool proof method:
1/ using the mouse, select UUencoded lines at the end
of this messages from 'begin ...' to 'sum...'
2/ press Ctrl-C for copying them to the clipboard
3/ start Total Commander (former Windows Commander)
4/ on the left panel, go to your LaserTank directory
5/ press Ctrl-rightArrow to have the same directory on the right panel
6/ press Shift+F4 to open a new text file, name it x.uue
7/ notepad will open. Paste the UUencoded lines by pressing Ctrl-V
8/ close Notepad and press Yes when asked whether to save the file
9/ Double click the new file x.uue and press Enter to UUdecode it
10/ select the newly created file TwinCounterLvl.zip
11/ Press Alt-F9 and then Enter to unpack it.
12/ from LaserTank, open TwinCounter.LVL
Caution:
When playing 5*8 hours a week, moving 1 step per second, making no mistakes, you will finish level 2 in exactly one year!!!
