For example, if a level starts with the LT (LaserTank) facing an AT, the LT has to shoot before doing anything else. When the LT shoots, since there can be only 1 shot at a time, the AT cannot shoot back. But if the LaserTank tries to move or turn, it gets shot by the AT. The person who created LaserTank probably did not want to go through the trouble of keeping track of lots of shots at once, plus slower computers might not be able to handle lots of shots at once. When the LT moves along a tank mover and a shot occurs, no other shot will occur until that shot stops. Once that shot stops, the AT to shoot next is whichever one next sees the LT. If more than one AT sees the LT at the same time, the AT on the right of the LT will shoot instead of an AT on the left and the AT below the LT will shoot instead of an AT above the LT.
